Greetings Everyone!

 I want to thank everyone for accepting their invitations to speak at our 2011 Speaking Truth in Love Conference!  Before I delve into the details, I would like to give a brief history about how this conference idea came about.  A few years back, Dave Howard, Jerry Powers, Ron Wallace and myself got together to catch up on old times.  Our fellowship turned into a deep theological discussion regarding the nature of fellowship.  We realized after the discussion that it was quite evident how much we missed the debate and banter we once had on so many occasions when we all attended Calaveras Bible Fellowship.  More importantly we each walked away with a fresh new perspective on the nature of fellowship.  It was after this meeting I knew we had to do this again but on a larger scale.  And so began our first Speaking Truth in Love Conference in Lake Tahoe, California.  This conference was a closed conference to pastors and lay people in the ministry.  However, last year we opened it up for the first time to the general public and it turned out to be a great success. 

The Speaking Truth in Love Conference is a grace-based conference, meaning all of the speakers graciously participate, teach, and give of their free time willingly. There will never be a cost to the general public to attend so that there will be no hindrance to anyone who would like to attend the conference. The main purpose for this conference is to keep everyone in the ministry grounded in the fundamentals of the faith.  To present new perspectives on old doctrines and/or sharpen established theological positions that impacts us culturally, socially, and spiritually.  Thus challenging and sharpening all who attend so they can have a Christ changing impact on their own lives as well as being influential in their social circles, churches, and communities.

A few points:

• I am asking everyone who is invited to speak to invite and encourage their local congregation, family, friends and colleagues to attend our free conference.
• This is a 4-day conference, starting Monday, June 20^th to Thursday, June 23^rd 2011 at Grace Community Church in Auburn, Washington.
• This is an all-day conference beginning at 9 am and ending at 8:30 pm with a 1 hour lunch and 4 hour dinner break. 
• You may speak on any topic of your choice. 
• The format is a 45 minute presentation and 45 minutes of Q & A. 
• Each speaker will have a white board, overhead projector, a computer, and internet access available for their use. 
• Water, soda, and coffee, as well as bagels, pastries and snacks will be provided for refreshments.

Below you will see a schedule of our line up and your time slot.  If for some reason you are not available on the given date or cannot attend please let me know as soon as possible so arrangements can be made and I can find a replacement for your slot. I would like to be informed no later than March 1st on the topic you will be teaching on, so I can further prepare and promote the schedule and ensure we don’t have any cross-over teaching on the same topic.

Again, I cannot thank you all enough for graciously accepting my invitation to speak.  I am deeply indebted to you all for making this a successful conference.  I believe this will truly bless others and Glorify God. I will keep everyone updated on each other’s topics as they come in.
