THE UPROOTED JEW

The Uprooted Jew

Deut. 28:65-66

Through pathways
Cluttered now with grief and care
Through sad days
Ever ending in despair;
In search of dreams
So violently denied,
Remembered screams,
So pained and terrified.

With doubts and tears
That plague each waking hour;
Without relief from fears
Nor from Oppression's power.
To wander thus,
Torn out from cherished land,
To reap what's meet and Just,
As judgment from His hand.
